VILLA
Artist: Villa | Title: Villa
LP/Digital
The long-distance debut of Villa , the moniker behind which hides the multi-instrumentalist and producer from Forlì Roberto Villa, will see the light in the fall of 2022.

After Plasma, L'etere and Angoscia, the trilogy published on 7 inches in the last two years, this new album sees the light; LP of 8 tracks that represent a journey into the artist's sound imagination, and that distance themselves from the western and horror suggestions of his previous works, to embrace a more synthetic but at the same time epic dimension.
This time the masters are the string quartet and the pulsating bass of Villa himself, the only string instrument on the album.
The strings and the rhythm section play a central role and represent the “earthly” part of the compositions; the synthesizers and vintage keyboards weave the murky sound fabric around.
The strictly instrumental pace with strong cinematic suggestions takes the listener into a dreamy dimension balanced between the aseptic and the dreamy.
Special mention for the splendid artwork of the album, created by the Hawaiian artist based in New York Georgie Smith aka Color Me Lurid , able to translate into images the emotions that arise from listening to the songs: an explosive, colourful, mysterious and disturbing dimension at the same time.
